Catherine Gordley is a counsel in VBB’s antitrust and competition practice, based in Brussels. She specializes in representing clients before the European Commission in complex merger control cases, including Phase 2 proceedings, other transactions requiring remedies and review of below-threshold deals under other antitrust tools. She also advises on parallel regulatory regimes liable to affect cross-border M&A, in particular foreign direct investment screening and review under the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation. Her experience spans a wide range of sectors, including aviation, steel, chemicals and other basic industries.

Catherine is also an active member of the ABA leadership, serving on the editorial board of The Antitrust Source.
