Mary Lehner is a Chambers-ranked partner in Freshfields’ Antitrust, Competition and Trade group, based in Washington, DC. She advises clients on the antitrust aspects of mergers, joint ventures, distribution and IP arrangements, and competitive conduct, representing them before the DOJ, FTC, and State Attorneys General.

Before joining Freshfields, Mary served as an advisor to two FTC Chairs, where she provided strategic counsel on investigations, enforcement, policy, public relations, and congressional engagement. She also led merger investigations as a senior attorney in the FTC’s Bureau of Competition.

Mary is a leader in the ABA Antitrust Section, currently serving as Co-Chair of the Federal Civil Enforcement Committee, and is a frequent speaker at ABA, GCR, and other industry events.
