Enrique Andreu is a Founding Partner of Econic Partners based in Brussels and Madrid. Enrique specializes in the application of economic and econometric analysis techniques to the study of antitrust and competition policy issues, including the assessment of the competitive impact of cartels and mergers, market definition, damage estimation, abuse of dominant position and state aid investigations. Enrique has worked on a wide number of antitrust cases across several industries including banking and financial markets, railway, media, tobacco, hardware, consumer research, fast-moving consumer goods, fresh foods and beverages, telecommunications, packaging, electrical equipment, and chemicals. Enrique regularly advises clients in cartel damages litigation (including Trucks, Cars, Milk, among others). He currently supervises one of the teams that works on the estimation of damages following the heavy truck manufacturers infringement, for which litigation proceedings are taking place in various European countries. In the recent past, he provided advice on mergers in front of the European Commission, such as Alstom/Bombardier, Telia/Bonnier Broadcasting, E.On/Innogy, T-Mobile/Tele 2 Netherlands, Shire/Takeda and The Walt Disney Company/Twenty-First Century Fox. He also advised on mergers investigated outside the European Union, such as by the UK CMA, the Chilean FNE and other Latin-American competition authorities.
