Gail Slater was until earlier this year the Senate confirmed Assistant Attorney General for antitrust at the U.S. Department of Justice. At the antitrust division, she oversaw day-to-day operations and led the division's enforcement and policy work. Prior to the DOJ, Gail spent a decade working in technology law and policy, including at the White House National Economic Council and the Vance Senate office. She preceded this work with a decade as antitrust enforcer at the Federal Trade Commission. In March, the Washington think tank American Compass announced that Gail was taking on a newly created role as their chair for competition and technology policy
