Selman Ansari is one of the leading antitrust lawyers in the Middle East. He is a regulatory and public policy lawyer, specialising in competition law; having relocated from London to the Middle East in 2018. He advises corporates, government departments, state owned enterprises and private equity investors on merger control and the full spectrum of behavioural competition law issues (including abuse of dominance, distribution/vertical agreements, rebates and pricing, and, lawful information exchange and cooperation arrangements). He has particular expertise in data and AI issues and how these intersect with antitrust law.
He brings international solutions to merger control, antitrust, data protection and AI regulatory issues arising in the Middle Eastern context. He has advised on some of the largest and most complex merger control filings in the region, both local and where multiple filings are required across the globe.
