Sarah Abram KC was called to the Bar in 2006 and took silk in 2022; she is described in the directories as “simply formidable”, “a wonderful advocate who always has the ear of the court”, “a smiling assassin in cross-examination”, as well as having an “[i]ncredible knack of being on top of everything all of the time”. Sarah is currently leading for clients including Apple, Google and HSBC across a range of collective proceedings, as well as for the PCR in the Salmon proposed collective proceedings (Waterside Class v Mowi [2026] CAT 32). She led the team acting for ZTE at the global FRAND trial in ZTE v Samsung [2026] EWHC 999 (Pat) (heard Jan-Feb 2026), resulting in a judgment that the FRAND rate for Samsung to pay to ZTE for a global patent licence agreement would be c$400 million. Other recent highlights include obtaining the first ever order refusing certification in collective proceedings outright (Riefa v Apple & Amazon [2025] CAT 5) and securing the first and second ever collective settlement approval orders in the CAT (RoRo [2023] CAT 75; Rail Fares 1 [2024] CAT 32). Sarah was nominated for Competition Silk of the Year at the Legal 500 Awards 2024 and the Chambers & Partners Awards 2025.
