Anthony Maton has almost 30 years of experience litigating Competition and Financial Services claims in the UK and internationally. Anthony has led some of the largest competition claims brought in Europe including the Marine Hose cartel, and the global Air Cargo litigation for over 100 groups of businesses. More recently he has been one of the lead partners in the 'Trains Boundary fares' collective action on behalf of certified class representative Justin Gutmann and FX Claim UK, a proposed collective action against six banks over their participation in unlawful foreign exchange spot trading cartels.
He is regarded as a skilled negotiator with the ability to formulate innovative settlement strategies. He has been at the forefront of developing and using third party funding and ATE in the London market and has, together with the leading players, put forward innovative litigation funding solutions for blue chip clients.
